To be held at Launceston City Park, Launceston, Tasmania. We will attract around 270 people to an outdoor event full of fun and with something for all including features for children. Elements of our event will include live cultural performances, entertainment , food, a BBQ and welcoming speeches about Australia Day's importance. Our Australia Day Refugee festival will make award presentations and invite welcome addresses from national dignitaries wrapped around an inclusive festival of music, food, costumes and dance. The performances will include dance troupes representing the Bhutanese, Nepalese, and African communities that will expose many in the audience to these traditions, songs, and music for the first time.
