Karlie BrandKarlie Brand was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Australia Day Council (NADC) in June 2018. Prior to welcoming her to this role, Karlie had an impressive career that saw her working for Ministers and heads of departments, responsible for managing a number of significant Austrade events internationally including for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and the "Study in Australia, Bangkok 2007 festival" and managing an Asia-Pacific consultant network. In addition to her broad-ranging experience across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors, Karlie was a corporate secretary in her previous two roles. As corporate secretary at the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, Karlie was responsible for managing over $38Bn in funds. At Solider On, Karlie performed dual roles of Deputy CEO and corporate secretary and managed a multi-million dollar budget. With extensive experience in the delivery of corporate functions across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors Karlie has a strong history of collaboration with others, executive and team leadership, governance, strategic and policy development as well as change management, organisational design and media relations. Karlie's experience is complemented by her formal qualifications including a Master of International Business and a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts.
