The Premier's Award for Outstanding Community Achievement in South Australia is run by the Australia Day Council of South Australia on behalf of the Office of the Premier. The Award is presented at the Australia Day Awards Ceremony held on Australia Day Eve in the grounds of Government House.

The 2010 recipient of the Award is Rodney Button. Here is his story:

Rodney has made an outstanding contribution to the town of Port Vincent for more than 30 years, including active roles in the CFS, Progress Association, Bowling Club, and Golf Club. He also managed the merger of three of the local football clubs to ensure their viability. Rodney has been a Councillor for 24 years with the District Council of Yorke Peninsula, chairing the development assessment panel and is a valued member of the Murray Darling Association. Rodney’s contribution to the Port Vincent area is remarkable.
