The Minister for Education's Award for Excellence in Languages and Culture 2011: Angelos Tolias
Angelos works at the Parks Community Library, he has Greek heritage and his skills in speaking this language has enabled him to communicate with many of the customers in their native tongue. He has also worked tirelessly over the last three years  to promote awareness of different cultural groups in the Port Adelaide Enfield community developing a number of library programs to assist migrant and refugee communities in accessing services. A number of these programs have been cross-cultural aimed at reducing the risk of marginalisation  and discrimination and highly popular workshops to promote the understanding of other cultures. Angelos has also volunteered his time to many of the programs out of hours and on weekends again demonstrating his strong commitment to the community and multiculturalism. Angelos has made a significant and important contribution to the Port Adelaide/Enfield Community.
