Event Details

Fremantle’s own Australia Day celebrations is on again with plenty of family friendly fun on offer. Approximately 40 new Australian citizens will be welcomed in a special City of Fremantle citizenship ceremony followed by the announcement of the Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards. This year’s citizenship ceremony will be held on the Esplanade Park at 4.00 pm followed by entertainment around 4.30 pm including face painting, balloon twisting and a free sausage sizzle with further entertainment still to be announced. After tucking into a hearty meal, throw down a rug and chair and await the spectacular fireworks display to start around 8.00 pm. Proudly bought to you by Cities of Fremantle and Cockburn.
