Celebrate this Australia Day with Great Australian Bites—a showcase of the true modern day Aussie BBQ.

Enjoy a unique culinary experience with live cooking stations and a menu showcasing some of Queensland's finest produce.

Eat your heart out with hors d'œuvre on arrival before enjoying a menu showcasing cultures from all over the world. There will be continuous canapés for over two hours, with menu items from six regions of the world including Asian favourite san choy bow, a twist on the traditional European duck confit, South African boerewors and Mooloolaba's own grilled prawns.

And, no true Australian BBQ would be complete without dessert. Lick! Icecream has prepared something very special for guests.

2013 MasterChef runner-up Lynton Tapp will take to the stage to share his passion for cooking with great Australian produce.

Brisbane pop six-piece band sensation, Sheppard, will create a mix of party atmosphere and good-time melodies, along with the unique sounds of Brother Fox and Slip-on Stereo.

The evening will also feature a presentation from special guests David Pugh, owner and head chef at Brisbane's own Restaurant Two, and Queensland food consultant Alison Alexander, as well as showcase the 2014 Australia Post Legends of Cooking.

Making Food Fun will take everyone on a cooking adventure, teaching guests a new and easy recipe for a 'BBQ with a twist'.

Guests can also take on the IKEA Build it Better challenge, which is set to be a fiercely competitive tag team allen key race.

Channel Ten personalities Georgie Lewis, of Ten Eyewitness News, and Totally Wild's Pip Russell will host the event, alongside weatherman Josh Holt with the live Channel Ten weather cross.
