Havaianas Thong Challenge 2014 - Glenelg
Aussie mateship is set to make a splash at Glenelg Beach in the 2014 series. Now in its ninth year, South Australians will once again band together in an attempt to set a new world record for the longest line of giant inflatable Havaianas joined in the water.
The popular annual event is now a staple on the Australia Day calendar, with both young and old encouraged to get in the water and have a go.
Havaianas will continue to raise valuable funds with $10 from each beach registration going to the local Nippers in each state. To date, Havaianas Australia Day Thong Challenge has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for local Nippers clubs.
Bigger and better at Glenelg in 2014, Havaianas are upping the ante with local identity Sam Mac on hand to host a jam-packed day of activities and lead the South Australian charge into the record books.
Participants can also share the day with friends and family without getting a wet or sandy mobile phone. Everyone who registers for the 2014 Havaianas Australia Day Thong Challenge will also receive a Havaianas ShareBand, allowing them to instantly share photos and updates to their Facebook page throughout the day.
Online registration cost just $30 with all participants receiving the iconic 2014 giant inflatable Havaianas (valued at $49.95). Registrations are now open at: www.havaianasthongchallenge.com.au
There will be a limited number of registrations available on the day, so pre registration is advised to avoid disappointment.
