Event Details

A real favourite with families, the Kings Domain Gardens will feature the famous Federation Vehicle Display with more than 450 veteran, vintage and classic vehicles, entertainment including multi-instrumentalist James Morrison, free activities and scrumptious food stalls. Celebrate RACV’s involvement in the Victorian community, with special displays, activities and free RACV giveaways! Visit the RACV Community Partners' Area for lots of fun, games and give-aways, including Independence Australia's wheelchair challenge. The many activities include: * working dog displays rounding up sheep * sheep shearing demonstrations * activity arena including soccer for under 5's with soccer time kids, tai chi, make your own bird feeder to take home with you (for under 16s), mini golf, mini basketball, bocce, chess with the master, learn to lace, fencing * join in the many interactive activities with Guides Victoria and Scouts Australia * learn all about the State Emergency Service, Australian Air Force Cadets and Royal Flying Doctors in their simulator, try vision simulation goggles with Guide Dogs Victoria, slop on sunscreen with the Cancer Council of Victoria * handle the baby animals * paint your boomerang, learn about alpacas, learn to relax through laughter, have a health check with First Aid at Events * go prospecting and watch a blacksmith create horse shoes (if total fire bans are not in place) * do some planting with Greening Australia * meet Captain Starlight and have fun with Arts Centre’s kids program * Wave off the Federation vehicles as they leave the gardens at 3:30pm. Help us green this event – bring your own water bottle and refill at the hydration station provided by South East Water.
