A Day on the Beach is a celebration of Australia Day, the Australian lifestyle and all facets that define our culture;- The beach- Sport & active participation- Our community- A healthy, active lifestyle- Local music- Fun & activities- The Big Aussie BBQThis event involves more than a dozen sporting and community groups who provide sports events, activities, entertainment and displays throughout the day. With loads of free sporting activities, free kids activities, live music, sandcastle competition, two Big Aussie BBQs, double decker buses, sailing, swimming, the Lady Nelson under sail and the pristine backdrop of Kingston Beach it is clear, there is no other event in Tasmania that has such a unique location!
