Henley-on-Mersey enters its 99th year with some new additions to the popular line-up of good old fashioned family fun. New to this year are: Gumboot Throwing Competition Great Aussie Dummy Spit The transformation of the Aquathon to a full on Triathlon, including a kids triathlon Dog Training Exhibition Gymnastics Display Model Off Road Car Racing And of course everyone's favourites: Scarecrow competition – make your own from recycled materials and bring it along on the day (before 11am) Betta Boat Race – make a water craft out of Betta Milk containers and race it on the Mersey – must carry 3 people or there is a race for the single competitor. Sheaf Tossing – not to be confused with Sheep Tossing!! Egg Throwing – don’t wear your weekend best – the eggs are fresh and raw! Whip Cracking Competition – a snap happy competition Historic Machinery Display – step back in time Water activities galore Heaps for food and refreshment options
