Phil is a businessman, philanthropist and father of three. His firm, Accelerator, works with leading Australian and international clients including Hertz, Caterpillar, BHP, AGL, Victoria Police, MFB, CFA, and VECCI.
He is a Board Member of Blue Ribbon Day and The Acclaim Awards, Australia’s leading operatic scholarship program. His and his firm have contributed significantly to a number of community service organisations including Volunteering Australia, Open Family, ARROW, the Women in Motor Sport Association and the Red Cross.
Phil began his working life as a radio broadcaster in 1977, a career that culminated in 1987 after six years as a leading music presenter on 3FOX FM and a national album show called “Cover to Cover”. After leaving FOX, Phil established a recording studio at Channel 10’s “Cottage” Production Facility. At the same time, he established a small creative “hot shop” – the genesis for what is now Accelerator.
Phil has been an Australia Day Ambassador since 2003. Married to Irene, Phil is a father of three, a qualified pilot and lover of sailing, diving, cooking, music and art.
