A football legend, Tommy Hafey has coached four AFL teams - Richmond, Collingwood, Geelong and the Sydney Swans. He is one of only seven coaches to have coached over 500 VFL/AFL games. He has a 66% win record.
Tommy's remarkable success as a coach is renowned throughout the League. Teams coached by Tommy have reached ten Grand Finals which resulted in four premierships and a tied Grand Final.
In his first year as Collingwood coach the team rose from wooden spooners to be in the Grand Final. In his three years with the Sydney Swans, with Dr Edelsten, Tommy took the team from second bottom to second top two years running.
Tommy has never been beaten as coach of the Victorian State Teams and eighteen players coached by Hafey have become AFL Coaches.
Only once in twenty-two years coaching football did a Hafey-coached team finish lower than seventh.
