Bruce Bonyhady
Mr Bruce Bonyhady is a non-executive director, with a background in funds management and economics. He is Chairman of Acadian Asset Management Australia Limited and a Director of UniSuper.
Mr Bonyhady's community roles include Chairman of Yooralla and President of Philanthropy Australia.
In April 2008 he co-authored a submission to the 2020 Summit recommending a National Disability Insurance Scheme (www.everyaustraliancounts.com.au), which was identified as one of the Summit's 'big ideas'.
Since then he has continued to help lead this potentially break-through reform as a Member of the Disability Investment Group, in 2008 and 2009, and now as a Member of the Independent Panel advising the Productivity Commission Inquiry into a Disability Care and Support Scheme.
In the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours, Mr Bonyhady was awarded the honour of Member of the Order of Australia for services to people with disabilities, their families and carers, particularly as Chairman of Yooralla, and to the community as a contributor to a range of charitable organisations.
