I became an Australian citizen on Australia Day in 2002.
In 1994 I wrote to then Premier Jeff Kennett to recommend we build an Immigration Museum. It opened in November 1998 and I served on its board until it was subsumed by the Melbourne Museum 10 years later.
I am also on the board of the People And Parks Foundation.
