Edgar Agius OAM
Edgar Agius OAM: President, Maltese Community Council
Edgar is currently President of the Maltese Community Council of South
Australia. In the mid-90s Edgar served as President and coordinator of the
Maltese Language and Folk Dancing School of Adelaide, organising cultural
floor shows.
He is currently serving his third consecutive term in Local Government and
is also the Council’s representative on the Youth Advisory Committee.
In recognition of his work for the community he has been awarded the
Premier’s Certificate of Appreciation, the Centenary of Federation Medal, and
the Order of Australia. Edgar’s work has greatly contributed to the vitality of
the Maltese community and the community in general.
