Victor Kovalenko OAM

Born in 1950 in Ukraine. Father was track driver, mother was nurse.
Start sailing at the Dnepr River at age 12.
He was many times USSR champion in sailing and in 1984 became a Coach.
University degree in Sport with special Diploma and Medal.
Victor has coached nine Olympic medals, six of them are Gold.
He coached 15 World champions, 10 European champions, winners of all regattas in the world, World sailors of the Year 1997.
Invited to work in Australia after winning Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996.
Two Gold medals from Olympic Games in Sydney 2000.
Australian National Head Coach and Australian Institute of Sport Head Coach in Sailing since 2000
Two Olympic Gold medals at Beijing Games 2008.
AIS Coach of the Year 2009
Victor in 2012 was awarded Order of Australia Medal.
Head coach of Australian Olympic Sailing Team in London 2012 with tree Gold and one Silver medals.
